For well over a century Yonge Street has been the heart of retail, cultural and food experiences in Toronto. Sankofa Square has become a key venue for community events and live performances, including concerts by Serena Ryder, Lady Antebellum, Barenaked Ladies and the Tragically Hip. Yonge Street attracts tens of millions of visitors annually to participate in world class events including Pride and St Patrick’s Parades, Winter Glow, Desifest along with many other cultural events and experiences.

The street is starting to see a retail revival as more world class businesses open stores on Yonge Street to be closer to their customers and to provide much greater exposure and flexibility for promoting their brands.
